Located in Gretna, this festival will feature music, food, and crafts over 25 city blocks. This festival also celebrates Italian and German culture with ethnic food, drink and music.

October 8, 9--Carnaval Latino--New Orleans, LA ($25 admission)
This unique weekend festival celebrating Latinos will feature international headline entertainment and will be held on the New Orleans riverfront. Admission to daily events are free, but there is a $25 admission for all evening concerts.

October 14, 15, 16--Festival Acadiens et Creoles--Lafayette, LA
This festival will showcase the best of Cajun and Zydeco music at the annual Fetivals Acadiens beneath the spreading oaks of Girard Park in Lafayette, LA. Festival de Musique Acadienne, celebrating 36 years of entertainment, originated as the Tribute to Cajun Music Festival, and event that was designed to attract and educate the younger generation to the traditional values of the Cajun culture. Festival de Musique Acadienne now attracts Louisiana's best Cajun and Zydeco bands and draws thousands of people from across the country and around the world.

October 15, 16--Wooden Boat Festival--Madisonville, LA
Every year the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum pays tribute to the hand crafted wooden boats of the Gulf Coast. Hundreds of boats will line the banks of the Tchefuncte River as 30,000 wooden boat enthusiasts come to celebrate the wonders of wood and water.

November 5--Bayou Bacchanal--New Orleans, LA (Lafayette Square)
The official Caribbean festival of New Orleans. Bayou Bacchanal brings the spirit of the Caribbean culture to one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Every November, thousands arrive in New Orleans to enjoy the pulsating beats of the steel drums, Soca, watching fabulous masqueraders, and enjoying the delightful authentic food of the Caribbean.

November 5--Abita Springs Gospel Jubilee--Abita Springs, LA
The third annual Abita Gospel Music Jubilee will take place at the Abita Springs Trailhead from 11Am - 7pm. In addition to food, beverages and craft booths this festival will feature local and nationallu acclaimed Gospel Music Acts. Also, a marriage re-commitment service will be offered for all couples who attend. Join us for a heavenly good time!

November 16, 17, 18, 19, 20--New Orleans Fringe Festival--New Orleans, LA (Marigny, Bywater)
Wild, weird, fresh original theater of all types for five days in neighborhoods in New Orleans. Wow! 60 performing groups, 200 shows, ten tons of free-for-all at the tent and one eccentric parade. Events range from free to ticketed events.
